Angel Manuel Pagan (born on July 2, 1981) is a Puerto Rican former expert baseball outfielder. He performed in Major League Baseball for the Chicago Cubs, New York Mets, and San Francisco Giants.
Pagan has been on the DL on account that August eleventh, 2015 with right patella tendinitis, also called a sore right knee. He acquired a platelet-rich plasma knee treatment in his right knee to help the healing process. He has treated several injuries this season, including a sore left knee earlier in the season.
Pagan hopes two weeks of rest gets him healthy for the season’s final month because the reigning World Series champions chase some other playoffs berth.

About Pagan’s injury

Angel Pagan said his right knee has bothered him since last season, when he banged it at the ground even as sliding in the outfield. The Giants center fielder has dealt with ache in each knee this season, but during the last week, his nagging right knee became too much of a problem to ignore.
Pagan said he obtained platelet-rich plasma knee treatment on Monday, hoping to hurry the healing procedure and limit the amount of time he’ll miss. The PRP treatment can sideline a participant for so long as a week and Giants supervisor Bruce Bochy said the crew didn’t want to play a man brief while expecting Pagan to heal.
Pagan stated he has tried to maintain “my one hundred percent” effort no matter the knee issues. He acknowledged he would like to be extra productive, but “I can’t be frustrated, because I’m giving it all. That’s all I can do, that’s all I have in control.” “I would advantage a lot from some time.”
The Giants recalled outfielder Juan Perez from Triple-A Sacramento to take Pagan’s spot at the roster at the time Pagan recovered from his platelet-rich plasma knee treatment, and Bochy stated Gregor Blanco will get most of the gambling time in middle field in Pagan’s absence.
When healthy, Pagan may be one of the Giants’ most dynamic players. But following a sturdy offensive begin this season – he was batting .305 at the stop of May – his common has dipped to .258 and his power has nearly disappeared. Advanced metrics rank Pagan most of the worst protecting center fielders in the majors this season, and his mobility has been pretty affected.
“I think I know him truly since we’ve gotten him, and I think at times he was going out there when he wasn’t 100 percent,” Bochy said. “I think it influenced his defense, too.”
