ZAKI ANWAR, MD
Anesthesiologist & Interventional Pain Management
CHICAGO STEM CELL THERAPY
FOUNDER & MEDICAL DIRECTOR
At Chicago Stem Cell Therapy, excellence is built on continual innovation.
Dr. Zaki Anwar has trained alongside some of the world’s foremost regenerative medicine experts in Miami, Japan and South Korea, studying advanced biologics and treatment techniques that redefine healing.
He brings these global insights directly to our clinic, integrating new methods in regenerative and exosome therapy, and shockwave technology to achieve outcomes beyond what traditional care can offer.
With three specialized shockwave systems and one of the most advanced regenerative programs in the Midwest, Dr. Anwar and his team provide personalized, physician-led care that helps patients recover faster and overcome the limitations of their condition — naturally.

Dr. Zaki Anwar is at the forefront of research and innovation in regenerative medicine. With more than 20 years in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Management, he founded Chicago Stem Cell Therapy to offer next-generation treatments that harness the body’s natural healing abilities and address various health concerns. His transformational treatments have helped patients suffering from neck and back pain, sports injuries, autoimmune disorders, neurological conditions, degenerative diseases including arthritis of the joints and more.
After obtaining his Doctor of Medicine degree, Dr. Anwar completed a residency in Anesthesiology at Cook County and a fellowship in pain management at Vanderbilt University. His desire to offer nonsurgical, cutting-edge solutions to those seeking advanced medical alternatives led him to specialize in regenerative medicine, which can repair and regenerate tissue. Instead of masking or numbing pain like traditional pain management modalities, Dr. Anwar believes regenerative medicine offers dynamic possibilities for enhancing recovery, reducing pain and improving overall well-being.

Outside his clinical practice, this Modern Man has completed over 20 triathlons and was the first participant from Pakistan to compete in IronMan, which consists of a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bicycle ride and a full marathon on foot. To date, Dr. Anwar has completed seven IronMan triathlons. Having overcome physical injuries himself, he inspires and connects with his patients with unparalleled expertise, compassion and commitment.
